Questions new believers ask

What if I have doubts?

Many believers go through seasons of doubt, especially early on. Doubt does not mean you have lost your faith. The Bible records a father who said to Jesus, “I believe; help my unbelief!” and Jesus helped him (Mark 9:24).

When doubt comes, ask what is driving it. It may be a real question about the gospel, guilt over something you have not confessed, suffering, or an anxious pattern of thought. Each of those needs a different kind of help.

Your assurance does not rest on how certain you feel. It rests on who Jesus is, what he has done, and his promise to hold onto his people (John 10:27-30). Bring your doubts to him in prayer. Bring your questions to a pastor or mature disciple. Persistent distress deserves patient care, and asking for help is not a lack of faith.

Still have a question?

Write it down and bring it to a pastor or a mature disciple at your church. You were never meant to figure this out alone.
