How do I tell my family and friends?
You do not need to have all the answers before you say anything. Start by telling the truth about what has happened: you have begun trusting Jesus and you are learning what that means.
Be gentle and respectful (1 Peter 3:15-16). Listen to their reactions and questions. Some people will be glad, some will be curious, and some may be skeptical or upset. You do not need to argue, pressure anyone, or pretend your life is now free of problems.
If someone asks a question you cannot answer, say so and offer to look into it together. Changing a person’s heart is God’s work. Your part is to love people well and speak about Jesus honestly.
Day 27 on this site helps you put your story into three simple sentences. Practice it with a mature disciple before you share it.

Still have a question?
Write it down and bring it to a pastor or a mature disciple at your church. You were never meant to figure this out alone.
