What about habits I can't seem to break?
Trusting Jesus does not make every old habit disappear overnight. Grace forgives, and it also begins to free you from sin’s grip over time. The Holy Spirit lives in you and gives real strength to resist (Galatians 5:16).
Being tempted is not the same as giving in. Jesus was tempted too, and he understands (Hebrews 4:15-16). God also promises to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Willpower alone rarely works. Notice the early warning signs that come before the habit. Set a practical boundary that makes it harder. Choose a trusted person you will contact when the warning appears. Day 23 on this site walks you through making that plan.
Do not keep it secret. Bring it to a mature disciple or pastor. Some struggles, such as addictions, call for qualified counseling or a recovery group alongside the care of your church.

Still have a question?
Write it down and bring it to a pastor or a mature disciple at your church. You were never meant to figure this out alone.
